如何區(qū)別also, too, either與as well
also, too, either與as well 均可表示“也”，用法及其區(qū)別分述如下：
1. too 和 as well
兩者多用於口語中，語氣較輕，通常用於肯定句或疑問句，一般不用於否定句，且通常放在句末。如：
He divorced her, and a good thing too [as well]. 他和她離了婚，這也是一件好事。
I will come on condition (that) she is invited too [as well]. 如果邀請(qǐng)她來, 那我就來。
He was just another child from the shelters. There were other children too [as well]. 他衹是來自收容所的另一個(gè)孩子，另外還有其他一些孩子。
too 有時(shí)也緊跟在主語後(注：as well 不這樣用)，此用法較正式。如：
But you, too, can buy coloured metal ones. 但是你也可以買彩色金屬制品。
The Internet, too, it goes without saying, is a good source of information. 不用說，因特網(wǎng)也是一個(gè)很好的信息來源。
在 Me too, You too 這類簡略答語中，通常不用 as well, also。如：
“I’m feeling hungry.” “Me too.” “我覺得餓了。”“我也是。”
“I love chocolate.” “Me too.” “我喜歡巧尅力。”“我也喜歡。”
2. 關(guān)於 aslo
also 比 too 和 as well 正式，一般也不用於否定句，它在句中的位置通常是緊靠動(dòng)詞，即放在行爲(wèi)動(dòng)詞之前，特殊動(dòng)詞之後。有時(shí)爲(wèi)了強(qiáng)調(diào)也放在句末(但不常見)。如：
Airplanes are fast and also comfortable. 飛機(jī)快而且舒適。
We bought a new sofa and also a new coffee table. 我們買了一個(gè)新沙發(fā)，還買了一張新的咖啡桌。
The school also has the responsibility to develop pupils’ characters. 學(xué)校也有職責(zé)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的品質(zhì)。
Dogs, cats and monkeys are all animals, and man is also an animal. 狗、貓和猴子都是動(dòng)物，而且人也是動(dòng)物。
also 有時(shí)用於句首(其後通常有逗號(hào))，相儅於連詞 and。如：
Also, he has gone abroad. 而且，他已去了國外。
It’s a nice house, but it’s very small. Also, it needs a lot of repairs. 這所房子不錯(cuò)，就是太小。另外，還需要大脩。
3. 關(guān)於 either
either(也)通常衹用於否定句，且要放在句末。如：
He can’t hear and he can hardly speak either. 他既聽不見也幾乎不能說話。
I didn’t go to the meeting either. 我也沒去開會(huì)。
She can’t explain it and I can’t either. 她不能解釋，我也不能解釋。
I don’t like John and I don’t like his wife either. 我不喜歡約翰，也不喜歡他的妻子。
If you don’t go, I will not go either. 你若不去，我也不去。
有時(shí)在肯定句之後跟一個(gè)否定句，表示“沒有也…”之類的意思，此時(shí)英語要用too或also，不用either：
He came, but she didn’t also came. 他來了，但她沒有也一起來。
He went to Washington, but not to New York too. 他去了華盛頓，但竝不是也去了紐約。
比較：
He didn’t buy a computer, and she didn’t either. 他沒有買電腦，她也沒有買。
He bought a computer, but she didn’t too. 他買了臺(tái)電腦，但她沒有也買臺(tái)電腦。
