cease doing/to do的區(qū)別

cease to do　 長時(shí)間，甚至永遠(yuǎn)停做某事。

cease doing　 短時(shí)停止做某事，以後還會(huì)接著做。

That department has ceased to exist forever.

那個(gè)部門已不複存在。

The girls ceased chatting for a moment when their teacher passed by.
