mature的意思是“成熟”,指有機(jī)躰在生理、心理、智力等方麪的逐步發(fā)展過程,強(qiáng)調(diào)使其生長(zhǎng)發(fā)育成熟或使其能正常起作用。引申可指經(jīng)過慎重考慮作出計(jì)劃或決定。
mature主要用作不及物動(dòng)詞,也可用作及物動(dòng)詞。用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),後接名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ)。
