用法辨析
- state作名詞的基本意思是“狀態(tài),狀況”,指人或物在外觀、心靈、健康等方面的自然“狀態(tài)”或“情況”,是可數(shù)名詞,常用于in a state of...的結構。
- state還可作“國家”解,如強調其政治實體性時,首字母常大寫; 不強調政治實體性時則首字母可小寫。state還可作為一個國家中的“州,邦”解,作此解時是可數(shù)名詞。
- state還可作“盛禮,隆重的儀式”解,一般是與政府或統(tǒng)治者有關的機構舉行的活動,是不可數(shù)名詞。
- state的基本意思是“陳述”,常指在正式或莊重的場合陳述觀點、看法等,而且這種陳述常含有仔細、詳盡而明確的意味。
