用法辨析
- quite可用作加強語氣的強勢詞,意思相當(dāng)于漢語的“完全,十分”,常與沒有比較級的形容詞(如correct, unique等)以及表示極度的形容詞或副詞(如amazing, unbelievable, brilliantly等)連用。
- quite還可用作減弱語氣的詞,常與有比較級的形容詞、副詞連用,以改變這些詞的強弱程度,意思是“不完全”,相當(dāng)于漢語里的“還算,或多或少,差不多”。
- not quite意為“不完全地”,用來表示很小的差異,一般與沒有比較級的形容詞(如full, perfect等)連用。
