詞源解說(shuō)
- 13世紀(jì)初期進(jìn)入英語(yǔ)，直接源自古法語(yǔ)的noter；最初源自拉丁語(yǔ)的notare，意為信件。
用法辨析
- note的基本意思是“筆記,摘記”,指用來(lái)記錄平時(shí)一些需要記住的事情的短小記錄; 也可指為了通知某人某事而寫(xiě)下的“短小信箋”?！坝浌P記”可以說(shuō)make a note (of),也可說(shuō)take notes (of),后者更常見(jiàn)。
- note也可指提醒人們對(duì)某事加以重視,即“注意”。note引申可指“照會(huì)”“評(píng)注,注釋”“暗示,含義”“做注釋”等。
- note還可作“紙幣”解, in notes指“以紙幣的形式”,介詞in不可用其他介詞代替,且notes須用復(fù)數(shù)形式。note后?？山咏樵~短語(yǔ)、動(dòng)詞不定式或分詞短語(yǔ)作定語(yǔ)。
- take a note of是“做筆記”的意思,但如果變成take note of時(shí)則變成了“注意”。
- note用作動(dòng)詞時(shí)指“將某事寫(xiě)在紙上”,以便于以后查找,即“記錄”; 還可指被某人或某物所吸引而把精力投入在其中,即“注意”。
- note多用作及物動(dòng)詞,后接名詞、代詞、帶疑問(wèn)詞的動(dòng)詞不定式或that/wh-從句作賓語(yǔ),還可接以形容詞或不帶to的動(dòng)詞不定式充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)?？捎糜诒粍?dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)。
