find 的用法與搭配
1. 表示“找到”，其后可接雙賓語；若雙賓語交換位置用介詞 for引出間接賓語。如：
Can you find me a hotel?=Can you find a hotel for me? 你能給我找一家旅館嗎?
We found him a good job.=We found a good job for him. 我們?yōu)樗伊朔莺霉ぷ鳌?/p>
比較下面一句（found 后為復(fù)合賓語）：
We found him a good teacher. (=We found that he was a good teacher.) 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)他是位好老師。
2. 表示“發(fā)現(xiàn)”時，其后可接各種形式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)：
(1) 賓語+名詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
You'll find it a difficult book. 你會發(fā)現(xiàn)它是一本難懂的書。
有時可在賓語補(bǔ)足語前加上to be。如：
You'll find it to be a difficult book. 你會發(fā)現(xiàn)它是一本難懂的書。
(2) 賓語+形容詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
He found the room empty. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)房間是空的。
I found the book easy. 我覺得這書讀起來比較容易。
有時可在賓語補(bǔ)足語前加上to be。如：
We find the story (to be) very interesting. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)這個故事很有趣。
(3) 賓語+副詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
Did you find her in? 你發(fā)現(xiàn)她在家嗎?
I went to her house but I found her out. 我到她家發(fā)現(xiàn)她不在家。
用作賓語補(bǔ)足語的副詞通常只能是in, out, up, down, upstairs, downstairs等表示處所的副詞小品詞，而不能是其他普通副詞。
(4) 賓語+不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
He found the patient to be a small boy. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)病人是一個小男孩。
用作賓語補(bǔ)足語的不定式通常為to be（且通?？梢允÷裕?，但當(dāng)find用于被動語態(tài)時，可以用其他動詞。如：
Her blood was found to contain poison. 她的血液里被發(fā)現(xiàn)有毒。
He was found to have helped himself to public money. 他被發(fā)現(xiàn)挪用了公款。
(5) 賓語+現(xiàn)在分詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
I found him lying on the floor. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)他躺在地板上。
I found him standing at the door. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)他正站在門口。
(6) 賓語+過去分詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
He found the door locked. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)門鎖上了。
He found the city much changed. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)這個城市發(fā)生了巨大的變化。
(7) 賓語+介詞短語作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如：
We found her in tears. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)她在哭泣。
We found the map quite out of date. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)這地圖已完全過時。
另外還要注意“find+形式賓語it+賓語補(bǔ)足語”結(jié)構(gòu)。如：
I find it easy to get on with her. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)她很容易相處。
He found it easy to earn extra money. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)賺點(diǎn)外快很容易。
I found it interesting being back at school again. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)再次回到學(xué)校很有意思。
3. 其后有時可接 that 從句。如：
I found that the book was very interesting. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)這本書很有趣。
They found that he was no longer working there. 他們發(fā)現(xiàn)他已經(jīng)不在那兒工作了。
He found (that) no one could answer his question. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)沒有人能回答他的問題。
When he arrived, he found that she had gone. 當(dāng)他到達(dá)時，他發(fā)現(xiàn)她已經(jīng)走了。
后接 that 從句時，只要句型適合且不影響原意，有時可轉(zhuǎn)換成復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)，如上面的前面兩句可轉(zhuǎn)換為：
I found the book very interesting.
They found him no longer working there.
但是，上面的最后兩句不適合這種轉(zhuǎn)換，因?yàn)閺木渲杏昧饲閼B(tài)動詞或完成時態(tài)。
4. 用于 find oneself, 主要用法：
(1) 后接賓語補(bǔ)足語，含有出乎意料的意味，表示（突然）發(fā)現(xiàn)自己處于某種狀態(tài)或來到某地方。如：
He woke up and found himself in hospital. 他醒來時發(fā)現(xiàn)自己在醫(yī)院里。
He returned to England to find himself famous. 他回到英國，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己竟出了名。
(2) 表示發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的真實(shí)能力、性格、愿望等。如：
Mary tried several jobs but at last found herself as a teacher. 瑪麗試做了幾種工作，但最后發(fā)現(xiàn)自己還是適合于當(dāng)老師。
(3) 指某人身體方面的自我感覺。如：
How do you find yourself today? 今天你覺得身體怎樣?
